Non-fatal strangulation

Non-fatal strangulation (NFS) is a significant and lethal form of family violence perpetrated mainly by men against women. It is also a common coercive controlling assault method used by intimate partners. This course provides comprehensive background and evidence-based information to learners about non-fatal strangulation in the context of domestic and family violence. Learners will be able to translate this knowledge into practice to recognise, respond, safety plan and support clients to prevent future non-fatal strangulation and other violence/abuse.
